ERBUD was founded in Toruń in August 1990 at Eryk Jan Grzeszczak’s initiative as an entity specialized in performing construction works. The company started its activity under the name of Przedsiębiorstwo Budowlane i Usług Technicznych ERBUD (Building and Technical Services Enterprise ERBUD).
In May 1991 Dariusz Grzeszczak joined Eryk Jan Grzeszczak as a shareholder.
The first foreign branch was established in Krefeld, Germany in February 1996. This decision enabled to master modern technologies used in the large volume building and to getting know the specific nature and requirements of Western Europe markets.
Beginning from 2000, the company was extending its operations successively throughout the country. The dynamic growth resulted in founding next branches in Warszawa, Rzeszów, Szczecin and Wrocław.
2003 was a landmark year in the company’s development, when the Przedsiębiorstwo Budowlane i Usług Technicznych ERBUD was converted into a limited company (Erbud Spółka z o.o.) and the original capital was increased by introducing a strategic investor – Wolff & Müller GmbH & Co.KG. At the same time, the decision was made to move the head office from Toruń to Warsaw.
A dynamic development of the German market has contributed to further extension of new organizational structures within the European Union. In 2004, a subsidiary operating on the British market was established in Ireland under the name of ERBUD Ireland Ltd. Moreover, there were set up branches in France and Sweden.

On 29 November 2006, Erbud Sp. z o.o. was transformed into a joint stock company.
Since 11 May 2007, ERBUD S.A. is listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
