34 green construction sites for the 34th birthday of ERBUD

Thanks to cooperation with Ekovoltis, all construction sites of ERBUD will be supplied with green energy by the end of the year. ERBUD is therefore the first Polish company to completely abandon conventional energy sources on the construction sites.

On August 17, on the 34th birthday of ERBUD, on the construction site of the Innovative Center for Nutritional Science of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences in Warsaw, Jacek Leczkowski – Vice President of ERBUD, together with Piotr Ostaszewski – President of Ekovoltis, celebrated the transition to green energy of the already 34th construction site. Ultimately, the company declares the certification of 100% of its construction sites by the end of the year, which is in line with the wider decarbonization plan of the Group. ERBUD is the first Polish construction company to make its projects “green”, confirming its clear course towards low-carbon business.

- We have ambitions to be a leader in the green transition in the civil part. We are very successful in this area – we have been in the prestigious EMAS register for three years, the Polish Association of Listed Companies has awarded us the title of “Climate Conscious Company”, and in their ranking we have obtained the third best result among all listed companies. We consistently implement our decarbonization policy. The milestone is to switch 100% to green energy on our construction sites, at which we aim together with Ekovoltis. This symbolic gesture of connecting the contact plug on the Warsaw construction site highlights our ambitions in this respect,” says Jacek Leczkowski, Vice President of ERBUD.

Ekovoltis is a dynamically growing Polish company trading electricity from renewable sources only. It connects producers of energy from RES with environmentally conscious companies under long-term contracts. Since 2022, it has been a proud part of one of the largest capital groups in Central and Eastern Europe – MS Galleon GmbH, owned by Michał Sołowow. The group is also developing a project involving the construction of small nuclear reactors.

- We are proud that ERBUD is our client. This cooperation shows that we are pursuing ambitious goals relating to decarbonization of the Polish economy, including the civil part. The transition of all ERBUD construction sites to green energy is a significant step that underlines our common determination to achieve sustainable development. Ekovoltis undertakes to further support such initiatives by combining companies with renewable energy sources, says Piotr Ostaszewski, CEO of the Management Board of Ekovoltis.

It should be added that part of the renewable sources in the Ekovoltis portfolio was created with the participation of ONDE belonging to the ERBUD Group.
