Another hospital project in Erbud’s backlog: the company will extend a hospital in Katowice

Erbud has signed a contract for the construction of the Operating Unit and alteration of two wards at the Stanisław Leszczynski Hospital in Katowice. The contract value amounts to     PLN 26.99 million gross and it will be completed by February 2016. Stanisław Leszczynski Hospital in Katowice is the investor and the customer. This is the 29 project executed by Erbud for the healthcare sector over the past five years.

Another hospital project in the portfolio

Within the framework of the contract concluded with Stanisław Leszczynski Hospital in Katowice, ERBUD will build a four-storey Operating Ward, Phase 1. The company will also alternate the Department of Dermatology and Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics. Moreover, the contract includes the procurement and installation of built-in furniture and medical equipment for Operating Unit.

Apart from the above said contract, six other projects for health care sector are under completion, including extension of the Clinical Centre of the Wrocław Medical University, extension of the Ministry of the Interior Hospital in Lublin and construction of the Centre for Therapeutic and Diagnostic at Oncology Clinic in Gliwice. The company is responsible for building the hospital facilities overseas as well, where it constructed a number of buildings. One of the current projects of the Group is a hospital in Roeselare, Belgium. The contract value is nearly EUR 8.7 million and it is the biggest project in the sector of hospital facilities abroad. The works are scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2015. The total value of ongoing contracts for health care amounts to approx. PLN 170 million, what represents about 11 percent of the current backlog of the Group.

During the past five years, Erbud Group had in its portfolio 29 construction projects for the healthcare sector in Poland. Their total value is approx. PLN 670 million. The most prestigious projects, among others, are: Invasive Medicine Centre of the Medical University of Gdańsk, which is one of the most modern hospitals in Europe, District Health Centre in Brzeziny – a world class clinic alternated by ERBUD in 2014, and Katowice Multidisciplinary Hospital, under construction now - a healthcare establishment with 15 departments and places for 230 patients.
