ERBUD celebrates its 30th anniversary

Exactly 30 years ago, on August 17, 1990, Eryk Jan Grzeszczak and his son Dariusz established Przedsiębiorstwo Budowlane i Usług Technicznych ERBUD in Toruń. Today, the ERBUD Group is the fifth largest company in the construction sector in Poland. Its annual revenues exceed PLN 2.3 billion. Among the leading construction companies in Poland, ERBUD is the only company that was established as a small family enterprise.

- At the beginning of the 90s, many construction companies were established in Poland, but the success of ERBUD is unique among them. We started in a group of several people, today there are 2.5 thousand employees in the ERBUD Group, who are our greatest asset. My dad, Eryk Grzeszczak, shared his experience and instilled in us the values that we have been faithful until today. The words of appreciation are also directed to Józef Zubelewicz, who developed our business on the domestic market, achieving a dynamic increase in revenues and leading to further mergers and acquisitions. Our employees are the pillars of our company. It is thanks to them that we gain the trust of customers, including the largest investors in Poland. We have been cooperating with many of them from the beginning of our activity. Responsibility, innovation, security and partnership, along with credibility and trust, are our most important values. We pay special attention to cooperation with all our business partners - says Dariusz Grzeszczak, President of the Management Board of ERBUD S.A. and co-founder of the company.

The ERBUD Group entered its jubilee year with the best results in history. In 2019, once again, the company recorded revenues in excess of PLN 2.3 billion. Last year's EBIT was PLN 58.4 million, and the net profit was PLN 35 million. The ERBUD Group started 2020 equally well.
- For us, achieving the best results in our history for the 30th anniversary of the company's establishment is a symbolic confirmation of the effectiveness of the business model, which was based on segmental and geographical diversification. Today, the ERBUD Group consists of eight companies active in construction, road and engineering industry as well as construction and service for power and industry. We are present on seven European markets - adds Dariusz Grzeszczak.

President Grzeszczak also emphasises that this year's jubilee celebrations have been postponed due to the epidemic situation: -
-We will celebrate when it will be safe for our employees, because our jubilee is primarily their celebration. ERBUD has an experienced, highly qualified team of engineers and specialists. Our employees are covered by a system of trainings and courses that gradually improve their qualifications. Their professional development is also enhanced by a system of internal promotions. The standard of the Group is to comply with occupational health and safety rules as well as ISO and AQAP standards. We introduce innovative and ecological technologies to our projects. In addition, we remember about the needs and values of the concept of sustainable development. In addition to business priorities, the entire ERBUD Group, as a socially responsible partner, engages in charity and social activities. For this reason, in 2015, we created the ERBUD Common Challenges Foundation named after Eryk Grzeszczak. Our Foundation helps children from orphanages who, on the threshold of adulthood, struggle with a number of problems related to becoming independent.

Despite the ongoing pandemic, all ERBUD projects are performed as planned. At the end of June 2020, the ERBUD Group had a particularly good order portfolio, the value of which amounted to PLN 2.35 billion and was 7% higher than in the previous year. 40% of the portfolio value is accounted for by the public procurement sector.
