ERBUD S.A. is the patron of the exhibition „Gravity. For Tymoteusz Karpowicz”

On 25 June this year, in the Awangarda BWA Gallery in Wrocław took place a vernissage of the exhibition "Gravity. For Tymoteusz Karpowicz" by Krzysztof M. Bednarski. The event was supported by ERBUD S.A., one of the five largest construction groups in Poland.

The exhibition of one of the most outstanding Polish contemporary sculptors is held in Wroclaw, the city honoured with the title of the 2016 European Capital of Culture. The artist dedicated the exhibition to Tymoteusz Karpowicz, poet and playwright, strongly associated with the artistic tradition of Wroclaw.

The "Gravity. For Tymoteusz Karpowicz" exhibition has been opened for the first time to the public in the Awangarda Gallery. The artist is interested in attraction forces, by which an individual - man, poet, sculptor is influenced.

“Bednarski explores the symbolic gravity of Matter, its forms, signs and archetypal figures. It is also the exhibition about the gravity force with which the Bednarski’s creative output has an effect on cinema, theatre, literature and, above all, on poetry” - explains Mrs Patrycja Sikora, curator of the exhibition.

Krzysztof M. Bednarski, who lives in Rome and Warsaw, is, among others, known for his works from the series "Moby Dick" that has been proclaimed an artistic manifesto of the second half of the eighties.
ERBUD supports art
From its beginning, the ERBUD Group is involved in socio-cultural projects. One of the most dynamically developing Polish construction groups sponsors long-term initiatives that have a significant impact on the quality of public space.

“The collaboration with Mr. Krzysztof M. Bednarski is extremely precious for us. We were able to realize a shared vision of quality, which is of the same importance both to the construction industry and to art”, says Mr Dariusz Grzeszczak, President of ERBUD S.A.. “We are proud to support this initiative and popularize the top level art”, adds Mr Grzeszczak.

The exhibition will be open for visitors until July 31 at the Awangarda BWA Gallery in Wrocław.
