ERBUD will rebuild the Michelin cogeneration plant in Olsztyn

A consortium of companies from the ERBUD Group, i.e. ERBUD Industry Sp. z o.o. as the leader and ERBUD S.A. signed with Michelin Polska S.A. a contract for the alteration of the heat and power plant in Olsztyn, including the construction of a new gas boiler building. The contract is worth PLN 38.2 million.

The works at the Michelin Polska S.A. heat and power plant in Olsztyn will cover the demolition of the existing equipment building and construction of a new one. Furthermore, the contractor will install in the cogeneration plant a new gas-fired steam boiler.

The goal of the above project is to reduce the existing sources of combustion of carbonaceous fuels, and this is in line with the newly opened cycle of industrial projects aimed at improving the air quality in Poland.

Under the contract, the consortium of ERBUD Industry and ERBUD S.A. is obliged to design and build the facility on a turnkey basis. The completion is scheduled for the end of 2019.

The consortium's remuneration will amount to PLN 38.2 million net, of which PLN 38.06 million for ERBUD Industry Sp. z o.o. and PLN 140 thousand for ERBUD S.A.

ERBUD Industry Sp. z o.o. specializes in retrofit of existing and construction of new facilities for the industry and energy sectors. It also installs processing plants associated with environmental protection. In November 2017, ERBUD Industry Sp. z o.o. concluded (also as a consortium member) a contract with Fortum Power and Heat Polska Sp. z o.o. to retrofit the exhaust gas treatment system at the Częstochowa Heating Plant. The works will end in September 2019.
