GWI from the ERBUD Group will build a skyscraper in Düsseldorf

GWI Bauunternehmung GmbH, a subsidiary of ERBUD S.A, signed a EUR 24 million contract for the construction of the UpperNord Tower in Düsseldorf, Germany. The 120 meter high skyscraper will be the tallest hotel and residential building in the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia.

 

The value of the contract translated at the exchange rate of the National Bank of Poland as at the day of signing the contract is PLN 102.8 million net. The investor is a subsidiary of CG Gruppe AG based in Berlin.

 

For the UpperNord Tower project GWI will execute only the building's shell and core, in which it has been specialized since its foundation and what is its core activity on the German construction market.

 

UpperNord Tower will have 36 floors above ground level and 3 underground floors. There will be 423 apartments, 275 parking spaces, as well as an office area. The lower floors will be occupied by a hotel with 128 rooms, its own restaurant and a fitness and spa centre. The biggest attraction of the skyscraper will be a sky-bar with a panoramic view of the city located on the 35th floor. The total volume of the building will be almost 126 thousand cubic meters.

 

The construction works will start on 1 July 2019. The deadline for the completion of the shell and core, for which GWI will be responsible, is set for 20 September 2021.
