The Erbud Group and the AGH University of Science and Technology entered into a cooperation agreement

The Erbud Group and Stanisław Staszic AGH University of Science and Technology [in Polish: Akademia Górniczo-Hutnicza] in Krakow, concluded an agreement on scientific and technical cooperation, which overriding goal is to initiate a dialogue between academic and business environment.

Beneficiaries of the cooperation will be students, graduates and employees of the AGH UST connected with the faculties of construction, energy and mechanical engineering, as well as companies of the ERBUD Group, including Erbud Industry and Engorem.

The agreement concerns the long-term cooperation in the field of use of scientific potential of AGH UST and enhancing the teaching activity of the University by the Erbud Group. Joint organization of seminars and conferences and joint participation in research projects aimed at the search for innovative solutions to be implemented practical and commercial is also provided by the said agreement. The Erbud Group will also act as a tutor, proposing topics for undergraduate, MA and PhD theses, thereby encouraging students and post-graduate students to deal with real business problems. The agreement also envisages that training periods for students will be organised and a scholarship fund dedicated to the best students and graduates of AGH UST will be created.

For many years, the ERBUD Group is engaged in promoting the improvement of the next generations of engineers. For this purpose we have developed and implemented a "Student Training Programme", enabling prospective engineers gain the necessary experience and skills specific to our industry. We are very proud that since today we can boast about working with one of the best and most renowned Polish technical universities - said Mr Dariusz Grzeszczak, President of Erbud.

The Erbud Group is another important partner of AGH, representing key areas of our teaching and research activities. The company's potential is huge and therefore we look forward to a very dynamic cooperation development. During the signing ceremony, the AGH UST was represented by Prof Dr Eng. Thomas Szmuc - Vice-Rector for Cooperation. On behalf of the Erbud Group the event was attended by Dariusz Grzeszczak - President of Erbud S.A., Zygmunt Artwik - President of ERBUD Industry, Dr. Agnieszka Maciuk-Grochowska, Director of HR Department of Erbud Industry and Dariusz Lesniak - Director of ENGOREM, Branch Katowice.

This demonstrates a proactive approach by the University authorities that goes beyond the academic education and at the same time guarantees the opportunity to exchange experiences in various fields - added Mr Zygmunt Artwik, President of Erbud Industry.
