ERBUD S.A. has completed works on one of the most modern sports facilities in Poland – the City Sports and Events Arena in Szczecin. The project worth approx. PLN 140 million net has been executed during the period of December 2010 - July 2014.
Szczecin Arena is a functional complex of modern buildings dedicated for various purposes, among others, football, volleyball, handball and basketball games as well as boxing gala. Solutions ensuring proper acoustics make the hall suitable also for cultural events like musical performances, concerts and cabarets.
The complex consists of three buildings:
- the main hall with the multifunctional sports field and stands for more than 5,000 people,
- office and commercial building designated to support the complex, including office and administrative premises and a restaurant,
- sports and recreation portion with conference rooms, facilities for the media, power training gym, training room, fitness and solarium area.
The arena has a rich neighbouring infrastructure: green belt dedicated to relaxing along with a complex recreational zone where you can find a multipurpose sports field, Ping-Pong tables and giant chess boards. A skating and skateboarding yard, bike paths and a square with a small amphitheatre and fountain have been established in the zone.
ERBUD has also built a granite cobblestone road, joining Szafera St. and Wojska Polskiego St. For users of the Sports and Events Arena there are available more than 600 parking spaces.
The most modern solutions has been used by ERBUD in the complex such as BMS that allows to take automatic control of building installations, monitoring system of roof steel structure collecting data in real time and informing about any threats, cold manufacturing and storage system, presenters’ system, video screens, and systems to control lighting and sound in conference rooms.
The roof and walls of the building, the central square and fountain in front of the arena are lighted by the spectacular illumination system.
The Sports and Events Arena is located on an area of over 102 thousand m2 and its total volume is 186 thousand m3.
